This is a review for Essie Garnet color nail lacquer.
I was tempted to give this a 4 star because of the color. Garnet is a deep red. This color isn't as deep as I thought it would be - even with 2 coats. This is a dark red, but not "garnet" worthy. Garnet, to me at least, is a deep, almost blood, red. This just seems to be a darker red. Looking at Essie's website, it seems the best garnet color is from the Fall 2010 collection - called Limited AddictionEssie Fall '10 Nail Polish - Limited Addiction.
I just can't give it a 4 because of my lack of research, haha. Essie is great and stays on really well. I'm a Florida State fan, so garnet and gold nails are a must every now and then. While I'm not super excited about the color, it gets the job done and looks good while doing it!
