What took me so long Mar 30, 2010
By A. Rofe
"smooth bod"
I have been going to the salon for years to get waxed. I finally decided to do it myself. The wax warmer by GiGi is perfect for me. It takes 20-30 minutes to melt the wax and you can control the heat level. I am very satisfied. My only recommendation is to purchase the card board ring that goes around the top. It will help keep the warmer clean.

AWESOME. Great price! Sep 26, 2010
By Georgia C. I was sick of going to the salon so I got this warmer to do at-home waxing (Bikini, leg, face, armpit). I love it! It doesn't get _too_ hot (but always test wax on your forearm first to be sure) and it's pretty fast. It takes about 20 minutes or so to heat up most of the wax on medium. I use the gigi waxes, so I can't speak for using other types of waxes in the machine, but those heat up very nicely. The machine itself does not get too hot when it's working, which is good for safety. I set it to Medium most of the time, since I like the wax slightly thicker than when it's on High. I am most impressed with the price, since this will pay for itself in one or two uses!

Worth the price Sep 11, 2010
By CK I recently bought this product along with the GIGI all purpose honey wax. I absolutely love them. As mentioned in other reviews, it takes 30 mins for the wax to melt down to right waxing consistency. I used cloth strips for waxing and it was very good. Its fast ,easy and also less messy. I absolutely love it and would recommend this product .

SO FAR, SO GOOD Nov 01, 2011
By Maggie I received the GIGI Wax Warmer and did my eyebrows, mustache & chinny chin chin hairs -- it went well for my first time.
There is a knack to doing your own waxing but I think the more you do it the easier it gets.
I purchased the GIGI Wax Warmer, GIGI 13oz. Azulene wax; GIGI Small Accu Edge applicator sticks; GIGI Natural Muslin Epilating Strips; and
the GIGI Clean Collars. EVERYTHING I purchased I needed. I did not buy the wax off stuff because many reviews stated baby oil or olive oil
worked just as well -- guess what? I used olive oil -- bingo, it works great to get the residue wax off. I so looked forward to my next
waxing ... oh!oh! one negative: to get the plastic cover off the GIGI 13oz. waxing canister -- holy cow, it took forever since the cover
was stuck to the hard, cold wax; it reminded me of like caramel being melted and then turning cold ... all gooey.
I made a mess trying to get it off ... so ladies, be prepared

Good product Great Value May 21, 2011
By Computer Geek I'm a guy and I use mine once a year (before summer) for my stomach area. When you shave that area in a couple days it may still look smooth, but it feels stubbly right away. With waxing it feels smoother much longer. If you are a guy who wants to smooth out your chest or abdominal area this is perfect.
Anyway, my experience with this:
1. Great price for what you get.
2. Easy to use with the GiGi waxes and hair removal strips.
3. It WORKS GREAT! I had tried microwave waxes and the "no shave hair removal" cream and those are horrible. This thing rips the hair right out, no questions asked!
3. Only complaint is the cleanup. And this isn't the fault of this device, its that the honey-wax is so sticky you have to be real careful of getting it where you don't want it. It is a real pain to get the extra stuff off your sink or your faucet handles, or whatever you might touch or drip it on--including your hands. You literally almost need paint thinner to get it off your counter tops or else scrub with Comet or Ajax with real hot water works too. Not sure what the solution is...maybe wearing rubber gloves may help keep it off your hands... But my advice is be very careful not to get the melted honey-wax anywhere you don't intend it to go.
Other than that, I am very happy with this device!
