Clear with Lots of Shine Mar 08, 2010
This nailpolish "I'm a Princess and You're Not" is a rather misleading color, but it's still useful. I read on another website that it was a gold-ivory "shimmer" nail polish. It is actually clear with a lot of shine to it. Also the shine is not gold-ivory. That's what the bottle looks like, but applied the polish shine is more silver and pink.
In artificial light, the shine looks more silver. In natural light, the shine looks more pink. From a few angles, the shine looks almost opaque like a white/silver/pink color. I applied two coats of this polish and I think a third coat would have made the shine even more opaque, but from some angles the nail polish is completely clear. I don't think three coats would have changed the fact that from a few angles the polish is clear. I can see the white tips of my nails from underneath the polish from most angles, too, even with the shine.
This nail polish is very easy to apply. I'm not that good at doing my own nails and any mistakes I made were not even noticable. One nail chipped a little the second day and that wasn't noticable either. It's a very easy, low-maintenance nail polish.
I used OPI natural base coat, 2 coats of this polish and 1 coat of OPI rapid dry top coat. The polish lasted 7 days. There were two more minor chips on the 7th day-- again not very noticable due to the sheer nature of the polish.
It's good if you want something on your nails with a pretty shine and without much hassle. It's also good if you want a simple alternative to a french manicure.
